Who is the course designed for?
The course is intended for anyone responsible for daily operation of a swimming pool/spa plant room.
This includes anyone operating a swimming pool facility at a leisure centre, swim schools, hotels & resorts, state or private schools or any other aquatic operation.
A pool plant operators’ primary function is to maintain the quality of swimming pools, spas and other water features. This maintenance can only be undertaken by certified pool plant operators to ensure the highest quality of all related water features for both public and private client use. Oftentimes, swimming pools have much higher running costs due to operator error and a lack of knowledge and understanding.
The course is assessed in two ways, by a written multiple choice test and completion of work based assignment.
In person/on site.
The course is delivered through a mixture of classroom activities and practical learning. This is the most popular and the most effective form of course delivery. The access to the plant room is required and we travel to your site to deliver site specific training.
The course is 3 days, and there are 3 weeks to complete the assignment independently to be submitted to the industry body.
Our blended PPO courses are delivered through a mixture of online sessions, independent learning and a final day of face to face training.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Pool Plant Operators Foundation Certificate. The register is located at www.pwtag.org and contains details of the currently trained pool plant operators.
IF THE PPO CERTIFICATE IS MORE THAN YOU NEED, THE POOL PLANT FOUNDATION WILL SUIT WELL - MORE INFO
