Microbiological Testing

Microbiological Sampling

Microbiological sampling of water systems should be undertaken to ascertain if your water treatment process is effective, as bacteria are generally found in water.

The facility is available either as a stand-alone service or can be incorporated as part of a wider package determining the most economical water treatment solution.

What is involved?

Microbiological sampling can be carried out as part of the monitoring and assessment process for any of your pool and spa facilities as well as across water storage tanks for your building. The analysis is carried out by the leading independent accredited water laboratory using qualified microbiologists.

Samples are tested for E Coli, Coliforms, and P Aeruginosa which provide the basis for assessing the microbiological quality of water.

Our experienced team of engineers provides the on-site service and equipment to physically take samples, which are submitted the same day to the UKAS and PWTAG accredited laboratory for testing.

How often does it need to be done?

Bacteriological sampling should be done monthly as a constant check to ensure the bacteriological quality of well-maintained water systems and processes.  More frequent samples are necessary where a deterioration in water quality occurs.
